Daily News Piece

Well... I hope everyone had a nice day off today. We had a great piece run in the Daily News today with a ton of vendors interviewed and they really loved Underground-NYC. Congratulations to Monkey on his mention of his bracelets. I would also like to congratulate Jensen Jacobs on her mention and big photo in the article! Also congratulations go out to Soni Lee for her mention in the article as well.

If we all keep on working together this can turn into something really great, but it comes down to teamwork. We all have to help each other sell and promote our respective businesses. When we do this we all win, as described in the article below.

Welcome to Underground -NYC

Our philosophy for Underground-NYC is a simple one. Give emerging designers and artisans a place to show and sell their goods in prime retail location. For years these types of markets have popped up in parking lots and church basements, but never on a major Avenue, on the street level and with floor to ceiling windows! While other markets exist around the 5 Boroughs, Underground-NYC is the only market we know of that gives our vendor/partners the exposure they deserve.

Underground NYC is a unique retail environment which houses anywhere between 75 and 100 vendors at any given time, all selling unique and generally hand-made specialty items ranging from clothing, jewelry, and accessories to products for home and other gifts. This midtown marketplace not only provides a solution to shoppers looking for unique gift items beyond the usual stocking stuffers, but also provides prime real estate to these emerging designers.

We are proud to give the small designer/artisan indoor space to sell their wares in a neighborhood with a bustling retail trade and where the buyers from the top retailers from around the world congregate every day to find the next big thing.
